Rights activists are alleging that police and a paramilitary force in Bangladesh are coercing families of the victims of enforced disappearances to issue statements that they deliberately misled police by hiding information about how their relatives went missing. In a tragic incident, unidentified motorcyclists shot a priest dead and injured his companion in Peshawar on Sunday, sparking protests from the city’s religious minority. In an attack targeting the Christian community, two priests were shot by armed assailants in Peshawar as they drove home from Mass on Sunday, leaving one of them dead.
