There is a disturbing information about a member of jihadist group, who has openly published life threat of Blitz editor through social media.
According to information, an individual named On May 24, 2021 at 10:40 pm, Mehmetcik Tahmid aka Tahmid Khan commenting about internationally acclaimed multi-award-winning anti-militancy journalist Salah Uddin Shoaib Choudhury tweeted on his account saying: “He [Salah Uddin Shoaib Choudhury] deserves to get lynched”.
Although Twitter should have disabled the account of Tahmid Khan permanently for using its for criminal and militancy purposes, until filing of this report, no such action has been taken. Moreover, under Bangladesh’s law, such posts are tantamount to criminal proceedings under Digital Security Act.
Tahmid Khan, he raises fund for Palestinians and through Islamic Relief several Twitter accounts. On his IRaise for Palestine account, he wrote: As much as we’ve been able to accomplish, there is still so much more to do. If we work together—with YOU—we can make the vision of a better Palestine a reality for so many more of our sisters and brothers in need. Palestinian residents are being evicted by force from their properties by Jewish settlers. It is possible that many family members might find themselves in the streets from the Sheikh Jarrah area. I intend to raise money on behalf of Islamic Relief USA to help find accommodations for our evicted Palestinian brothers and sisters. Besides, the money will be used to renovate houses which were attacked as a result of attacks by the Zionist forces. His Twitter account name is Mehmetcik Tahmid, where he describes his current location as “Ottoman State” though but he projects Bangladesh as the 21st “Ottoman State”, meaning, he definitely is a jihadist and pro-Caliphate individual. It is anticipated that this account either is maintained by any of the staffs of the Palestinian office in Bangladesh or Mehmetcik Tahmid aka Tahmid Khan is a member of any of the radical Islamic militancy outfits, most possibly Islamic State.
