    JCI Bangladesh inaugurates new chapter ‘JCI Dhaka Prestige’

    Junior Chamber International (JCI) Bangladesh has inaugurated a new chapter named ‘JCI Dhaka Prestige.’ 

    The inauguration ceremony and the First General Members’ Meeting of JCI Dhaka Prestige were held on 29th January, in a hotel in Gulshan, Dhaka. 

    Niaz Morshed Elite, President, Junior Chamber International (JCI) Bangladesh Chapter and Executive Director of Digital Financial System ‘Nagad’ Inaugurated JCI Dhaka Prestige’s chain handover and first General Members’ Meeting of the year.

    A 12 member executive committee has also been introduced in the meeting where Sharmina Akter Patin has been appointed as the Local President.  

    Besides, Rakib Mohammed was appointed as Local Executive Vice President, Sakib Mahmud and Fahimul Islam as Local Vice President, Kazi Farhana as Local Secretary General, Pushpita Shahriar as Local General Legal Counsel, Rafsan Janiul Islam as Local Treasurer, Hisham Khan as Local Training Commissioner, Galib Khan, Salman Chowdhury, Raihan Uddin and Aditi Ahmed as Local Directors in the committee.

    Local president of JCI Dhaka Prestige Sharmina Akter Patin took an oath with her Executive committee in that meeting.

    ”As an entrepreneur, I believe that opportunities exist everywhere, but making the most use of them is essential. JCI Dhaka Prestige provides me with the opportunity to develop future leaders, serve the community, strive for the betterment of the society, and make a positive impact,” Patin said.

    Marufa Mamataj, Curriculum Development and Evaluation Coordinator of a renowned school in Dhaka and General Member of JCI Dhaka Prestige, said “I always envisioned to help create a society where all children, regardless of their socio-economic background, receive a quality education.” 

    “I believe JCI Dhaka Prestige is such a youthful organisation which can help alleviate the situation of underprivileged. This is why I joined JCI.”

    Junior Chamber International (JCI)  is a non-profit international youth organisation currently serving in 124 countries of the world. It inspires young people to participate in social and economic development and international cooperation, flourishes their leadership skills making a creative change in the local community.

    Upcoming projects of JCI are the Inclusive Dream Project (IDP) targeting minority community education under which stationeries will be distributed for a year in Khashia Tribe to ensure equal opportunity for quality education. 

    Women on Wheel (WoW) project targeting women willing or existing drivers of Bangladesh which will address problems regarding lack of automobile knowledge and gender representation in the automobile industry and empower women to be more mobile, more knowledgeable on automobiles to ensure more women on wheels.

    Feed and Fun (FaF) project works with Senior Citizens living in retirement homes. Under this project, Ramadan Month’s Grocery for one home, shared time and values among JCI Dhaka Prestige members and the target group will be ensured.
