Philo. Will the municipality and the county finance the religious education of Seventh-day Adventists? Both Wieluń poviat and Wieluń councilors will focus on organizing religion lessons at the point of extracurricular catechesis during upcoming sessions. It is about a class that Adventists will attend. A request for such an event was made by the pastor of the church in Vielo.
Philo. Will the municipality and the county finance the religious education of Seventh-day Adventists?
It is the responsibility of the councilors of Wieluń poviat and Wieluń to create an extracurricular educational point for the Adventist Church in the city. Consultants will make decisions on this topic during future sessions. Pastor Sławomir Wcisło applied to Mayor Pawe Okrasa and star Marek Kieler.
According to the regulation of the Minister of National Education, if students from schools run by different authorities attend such a point, these bodies must establish point rules by agreement. Such a situation occurs in Philo, and then the mayor asked the provincial council to conclude an agreement on this issue.

The board of directors responded positively to the request, stating that it would enable students to participate in religious minority classes.
If both Houses adopt decisions on the agenda in future sessions, the item will be created in Wieluń Adventist Church at ul. Krakowski Przedmieście 21.
Under the agreement, the district and the commune will also share the costs of organizing and operating this point.
We have accepted this request and if the councils make appropriate decisions, we will transfer the funds in accordance with the agreement made with the municipality of Wieluń – says staroste Marek Kieler and adds that the expenses must be covered through subsidies.
The costs of hiring a religious teacher are covered by the municipality, some of which will be reimbursed by their district (depending on the number of community school students and the number of mortality schools that will participate in the classes). These costs will not be high. Lessons are held at the Christian Education Center for only two hours per week. Currently, five students will participate in religious classes with a Christian viewpoint, two in schools run by Wieluń poviat and three in community institutions.
The teachers will be recruited through Primary School No. 4 in Fielo.
Councilors of local councils will decide to conclude an agreement on organizing the point at the session on May 31. City councilors, in turn, will focus on the issue during their deliberations on June 2.
